"To Prevent Confusion Over Land Transaction Permit Designation"... Yongsan-gu Establishes Information Plaza

From Permission Inquiry to Civil Consultation and Response

Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) has established the nation’s first ‘Land Transaction Permission Information Plaza System’ and opened it on the 31st. Through this system, land transaction permission information can be checked all at once anytime and anywhere, and related consultations can also be received.

On the 24th, all apartments within Yongsan-gu were designated as land transaction permission zones, prompting Yongsan-gu to take swift action to minimize confusion among residents. The main contents were made into easy-to-understand card news and posted on the district’s website, blog, and social networking services (SNS), and efforts were made to open the Land Transaction Permission Information Plaza ahead of the originally scheduled opening in June this year.

The main functions of the Land Transaction Permission Information Plaza include checking the status of land transaction permission designations, inquiring whether permission is required, checking building usage, and consulting on permission applications. In the land transaction permission designation status, designated zones can be viewed at a glance through maps, and it is linked with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s Land Connect and Seumter systems, allowing easy inquiry of whether land transaction permission is required and the usage of buildings.

In particular, a pre-application function for land transaction permission has been added to provide a one-stop civil service. After citizens check whether permission is required and the building usage on the information plaza, if they submit a pre-application for permission, the person in charge reviews it and responds with whether permission can be granted.

This service is provided conveniently to residents by processing everything online without the need to visit in person. Additionally, by scanning the QR codes on more than 14,000 building number plates installed throughout the district, users can access the information plaza system and apply for civil consultations anytime and anywhere. To use the Land Transaction Permission Information Plaza, access the Yongsan-gu Office website - ‘Information by Category - Real Estate/Land - Real Estate.’

The district will conduct on-site monitoring targeting real estate brokerage offices until September this year. This is to provide guidance on the land transaction permission system and to focus on monitoring disruptive acts such as false property advertisements to prevent confusion in the real estate market and establish sound transaction order.

Meanwhile, on the 27th, the district held a meeting with licensed real estate agents and demonstrated the Land Transaction Permission Information Plaza, receiving positive responses.

District Mayor Park Hee-young said, “Proactive response is important to reduce confusion among residents caused by sudden real estate policies,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure residents’ stability through multifaceted publicity and policies so that residents do not suffer any damage.”
