28 New Projects Identified, Bringing Total to 70 Projects
Active Discussion on Response Measures for Projects Worth 470.4 Billion KRW
Hamyang County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 31st that it held the '2026 Second National and Provincial Funding Project Discovery Briefing' in the county office's main conference room.
This briefing, presided over by County Mayor Jin Byeongyeong, was attended by more than 80 officials including division heads and all department heads. The meeting was organized to review strategies for securing national and provincial funding and to discuss response measures.
During the briefing, participants held in-depth discussions on the implementation strategies for key projects presented at the first briefing, and identified 28 new projects, bringing the total to 70 projects with a combined budget of 470.4 billion KRW for national and provincial funding.
Following the previous briefing, in-depth discussions were held on securing strategies for core projects such as the 'Hamyang Senior-Friendly Community Sports Center Construction Project (9 billion KRW)' for promoting healthy leisure activities among the senior population, the 'Park Golf Course Development Project (12 billion KRW)' to revitalize community sports, and the 'Waste Incineration Facility Installation Project (25.5 billion KRW)' to enhance waste incineration capacity.
Additionally, 28 new projects were identified compared to the previous briefing, including the 'Rural Living and Settlement Environment Improvement Project (15 billion KRW)', 'Naebaek District Flood Damage Comprehensive Improvement Project (47.5 billion KRW)', 'Planned Competition-Type Regional Tourism Development Project (12 billion KRW)', and the 'Baekdudaegan Ecological Axis Restoration Project (5.8 billion KRW)'.
Jin Byeongyeong, the county mayor, urged, "Please make every effort to ensure that the national and provincial funding projects discussed at the briefing are secured, as they are essential for securing Hamyang's future growth engines and revitalizing the local economy."
Hamyang County plans to systematically prepare its core projects and continue all-out efforts to ensure that the projects identified at this briefing are reflected in the 2026 budget through ongoing cooperation with relevant central government ministries and Gyeongnam Province departments.
