Sales of 121.3 Billion KRW in 2024
Restructuring Focused on AI and High-Profit Businesses
IGAWorks announced on the 31st that it recorded consolidated sales of 121.3 billion KRW and an operating loss of 2.3 billion KRW last year. Compared to the previous year, the profit and loss improved by 4.25 billion KRW, significantly reducing the deficit.
The platform division maintained a profitable trend for the second consecutive year, driving overall performance. The platform division's contribution profit reached approximately 5.9 billion KRW, and despite losses from advertising agency subsidiaries, it achieved an operating profit of 1.85 billion KRW on a consolidated basis in the second half, successfully turning to profitability.
The advertising agency business segment still recorded losses due to deteriorating business conditions and a general market downturn, but achieved about 4.2 billion KRW improvement in profit and loss compared to the previous year through cost efficiency and structural reorganization using AI. In particular, the transition to AI-based digital solutions across the board, including business areas that previously had a high proportion of labor costs, reduced repetitive tasks and lowered dependence on specialized personnel, leading to improved efficiency. This AI transition trend is expected to accelerate cost-saving effects starting this year.
The advertising platform business shifted its distribution structure from agency-centered to direct transactions with advertisers, and restructured transactions that were low in profitability and high in risk. Rather than aggressive expansion during the recession, the strategy focused on soundness and profitability, and the platform division is expected to maintain a stable profit trend this year as well.
IGAWorks is also accelerating the expansion of new businesses based on generative AI technology. The proprietary technology SCI (Synthetic Consumer Intelligence), which connects distributed data to generate new consumer data and predict behavior, was introduced on the global stage at the AI Summit held in Paris, France, last February, showcasing its technological competitiveness. Additionally, the generative AI-based advertising production platform 'Fixtype' is designed to quickly produce commercial-level high-quality creatives, enhancing both productivity and quality.
IGAWorks is actively promoting five major AI businesses including SCI and Fixtype: ▲ AI data generation ▲ data analysis ▲ creative production ▲ autonomous advertising execution ▲ agency operation automation. Ma Gukseong, CEO of IGAWorks, stated, “AI is a core technology that reshapes profitability and competitiveness,” adding, “We have already implemented this transformation and will make 2025 the inaugural year to expand it across the entire market.”
