'Basic Council Member' Early Voting Rate:
Gwangyang 5.67%, Goheung 39.76%

The early voting rate for the Damyang County mayoral by-election in Jeonnam, held over two days on the 28th and 29th as part of the April 2 by-elections, recorded 37.92%.
According to the National Election Commission's election statistics system on the 29th, as of 6 p.m. that day, 15,316 out of 40,394 eligible voters participated in early voting for the Damyang County mayoral by-election, resulting in a turnout of 37.92%.
This is 16.23 percentage points higher than the early voting rate for the Damyang County mayoral election during the 8th local elections (21.69%), and also higher than the early voting rates for the Gokseong County mayoral by-election (24.06%) and Yeonggwang County mayoral by-election (24.68%) held last October.
This Damyang County mayoral by-election is a two-way race between Lee Jaejong (Democratic Party, candidate No. 1) and Jeong Cheolwon (Jungkuk Innovation Party, candidate No. 3).
Meanwhile, the early voting rate for the Gwangyang City Council multi-member constituency, where three candidates?Lee Donkyun (Democratic Party), Lim Giju (Progressive Party), and Park Jongyeol (Liberal Unification Party)?are competing, was only 5.67%. Out of 30,960 eligible voters, 1,754 participated in early voting.
In the Goheung County Council by-election for constituency Na, where two candidates?Kim Donggwi (Democratic Party) and Kim Jaeyeol (Independent)?are running, 3,848 out of 9,678 eligible voters cast their ballots, resulting in a relatively high early voting rate of 39.76%.
In the Damyang County Council by-election, Noh Daehyun (Democratic Party) was elected unopposed as the sole candidate.
Meanwhile, the main voting for the April 2 by-elections will take place on the 2nd of next month from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
