"Disciplinary Committee Will Be Convened for Disruptive Behavior in Class"
One student who did not register for the first semester at Yonsei University College of Medicine was expelled.
On the 28th, Choi Jae-young, Dean of Yonsei University College of Medicine, announced in a notice sent to the medical school professors, "Except for one student, all students have applied for reinstatement and registered following the registration deadline," adding, "Therefore, one student has been expelled from our university."
Regarding the possibility that returning students might register and apply for courses but then not attend classes, he emphasized, "Students who do not attend classes will be given failing grades based on attendance criteria, and if any disruptive behavior is found during classes, a disciplinary committee will be convened immediately."
Yonsei University closed registration for the first semester on the 21st and sent expulsion notices to students who did not register. However, as the Yonsei University College of Medicine Student Emergency Response Committee changed their protest strategy to 'register and then take a leave of absence,' the university accepted additional registrations until 5 p.m. on the same day, when the final expulsion was originally scheduled.
