Hankom Life Care Urgently Provides Personal Safety Equipment Worth 2.5 Billion KRW for Wildfire Suppression Workers

Hancom LifeCare, a defense, firefighting, and safety equipment specialist company affiliated with Hancom Group (CEO Kim Sun-young), announced that it will urgently support approximately 2.5 billion KRW worth of personal safety equipment for firefighters through the Korean Red Cross and the Korea Fire Industry Association to assist in extinguishing the large-scale wildfires that occurred in the Yeongnam region.

The items donated by Hancom LifeCare this time include essential safety equipment that must be worn at fire scenes, such as fire helmets, hoods, and protective gear. Recognizing the shortage of safety equipment needed at the fire suppression sites due to the simultaneous deployment of multiple teams, Hancom LifeCare decided to urgently release the equipment it had in stock to provide support.

Kim Sun-young, CEO of Hancom LifeCare, said, “We pray for the health and safety of the firefighting personnel who are still fighting the wildfire and the victims affected by this fire,” adding, “We will continue to seek and implement various support measures for responding to social disasters.”

Founded in 1971, Hancom LifeCare established itself as a leader in the firefighting industry by developing and supplying Korea’s first self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting in 1984. In addition to firefighting equipment, the company has been recognized for its high technical expertise in the defense industry by successfully carrying out various defense projects such as squad-level combat training equipment and armored vehicle rear camera installation projects. Recently, it has been continuously leading efforts to secure advanced technology and realize autonomous defense by collaborating with the global firearm manufacturer Beretta and jointly promoting firearms and various other projects.
