to Promote Middle-aged Employment

Gwangju Labor Office and Naeil Center Hold Launch Ceremony for 'Middle-aged Employment Support Council' The Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, the Gwangju Senior Tomorrow Center of the Korea Labor Foundation, and the Gwangju Employers Federation Senior Tomorrow Center held the launch ceremony of the "Senior Employment Support Council" on the 28th at the 11th floor of the Gwangju Employment Welfare+ Center and adopted a joint resolution to promote senior employment. Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office (Director Lee Doyoung) held a launching ceremony for the 'Gwangju Middle-aged Employment Support Council' at 10 a.m. on the 11th floor of the Gwangju Employment Welfare+ Center on the 28th, together with the Middle-aged Center of the Korea Labor Foundation Gwangju Branch and the Middle-aged Center of the Gwangju Employers Federation.


The Gwangju Middle-aged Employment Support Council is a consultative body established to build an integrated employment service for middle-aged people, covering everything from discovering suitable jobs for the middle-aged, lifetime career design, training and work experience, to reemployment support through job placement and incentives.


At the launching ceremony, a joint declaration was adopted for ▲ revitalizing middle-aged employment ▲ strengthening the linkage of employment services ▲ expanding cooperation with companies ▲ discovering collaborative models for supporting middle-aged employment ▲ and cooperating with the local community. The Gwangju Employment Welfare+ Center plans to operate a dedicated corporate support service team to actively discover middle-aged friendly companies.


Lee Doyoung, Director of the Gwangju Employment and Labor Office, said, "To promote career support for the middle-aged, we will expand cooperation not only with the Middle-aged Center but also with related organizations such as Saeil Centers and vocational training institutions to implement customized employment policies for the middle-aged."
