Four Consecutive Years of Dispute-Free Settlements
1.5 Million KRW in Welfare Points
Samsung Display's labor and management have reached a tentative agreement on the 2025 wage and collective bargaining agreement.
Samsung Display announced on the 28th that through labor-management consultations, they agreed on an average wage increase rate of 5.1% this year (basic increase rate 3% and performance increase rate 2.1%). Despite the challenging business environment, the company decided to provide a temporary cash welfare point of 1.5 million KRW to encourage employees who are doing their best.
Earlier, after starting negotiations for the wage and collective bargaining agreement in January, labor and management reached a tentative agreement on the wage and collective bargaining proposal yesterday after more than ten rounds of negotiations. This marks the fourth consecutive year of dispute-free settlements since 2022.
Samsung Display explained, "This wage and collective bargaining agreement is significant in that labor and management have created a foundation of harmony together to strengthen the company's competitiveness following the inauguration of the new CEO, Lee Cheong."
Labor and management plan to finalize the wage and collective bargaining agreement after conducting a union member approval vote next month.
