Sunchang County Recruiting Participants for Mobile Healthcare

Applications Accepted from the 1st to the 11th of Next Month

Sunchang County in North Jeolla Province is recruiting participants ahead of launching its mobile healthcare project.


According to the county on the 28th, the mobile healthcare project was initiated to provide mobile health management services to residents who find it difficult to visit public health centers due to work or other commitments, with the aim of preventing chronic diseases.

Eligible applicants are Sunchang residents and workers in Sunchang who are between the ages of 19 and 64 and own and can use a smartphone. However, those who have been diagnosed with chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidemia and are currently receiving medication are excluded from eligibility.


Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from the 1st to the 11th of next month. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Health Promotion Team at the Public Health Center. Selected participants will be provided with a smart band and will receive health management services from a dedicated team of nurses, nutritionists, and exercise specialists via a mobile app for a total of 24 weeks starting from the launch of the program.


A representative from the Public Health Center stated, "Participants will visit the health center at least three times over the 24-week period for physical measurements and blood tests," adding, "Through this, we plan to closely monitor changes in individual health status and actively work to prevent chronic diseases."
