Ulsan City to Promote Environmental Technology Support Project for Small-scale Businesses

Targeting 48 Businesses This Year
Applications Accepted Until May 30

Ulsan City will implement the '2025 Small-Scale Business Environmental Technology Support Project' from April to December, targeting small businesses that are struggling with environmental management.

The project will prioritize businesses that have applied for environmental technology support, with a focus on those that violated environmental laws last year and newly established businesses.

This year, 48 businesses that emit air pollutants or wastewater within the city will be selected for support.

For the selected businesses, environmental experts currently working at major local companies will visit in person to provide free guidance on operating environmental facilities, legal education, and consultations.

Additionally, through diagnosis of emission and prevention facilities, tailored improvement plans suitable for each company's situation will be suggested, and an operational guideline (guidebook) will also be provided free of charge.

Businesses wishing to receive environmental technology support should apply to the Ulsan Green Environment Support Center by May 30.

An Ulsan City official stated, "We will do our best to move away from regulation-focused environmental administration and provide customized technical support needed by businesses, thereby establishing a voluntary environmental management system, encouraging the reduction of pollutant emissions, and contributing to the improvement of our city's environmental quality."

The 'Small-Scale Business Environmental Technology Support Project' began in 2008 and has achieved a total of 2,820 cases of technical support for 1,785 businesses as of last year. According to a survey of companies that received support last year, about 90% expressed satisfaction.
