Jeollanam-do Donates 500 Million KRW
Disaster Relief Supplies Delivered to Victims

Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, visited the joint memorial altar in Changnyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do on the 27th to pay his respects to the victims of the recent wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions.
Governor Kim expressed, "I offer my deepest condolences for the many lives lost due to the sudden wildfires, and I sincerely extend my heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families. Jeollanam-do will do its utmost to support the affected residents so they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
On this day, Jeollanam-do provided donations and disaster relief supplies worth 500 million KRW to assist residents and victims in the Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk, and Ulsan regions affected by the wildfires. An additional 350 million KRW will be donated from the disaster relief fund. Relief goods produced in Jeollanam-do, such as seasoned laver, kimchi, sweet potato bread, Wando seaweed noodles, and Haenam instant rice, worth 150 million KRW, were also provided.
Going forward, Jeollanam-do plans to continue supporting and cooperating with the affected regions until recovery is complete, including offering comfort to the victims through voluntary fundraising by provincial government employees (about 50 million KRW), and strengthening disaster response and prevention together with the residents.
