Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) announced on the 27th that the Department of Youth Counseling and Lifelong Education recently signed a business agreement with the Gwangju City Youth Counseling and Welfare Center (Director Cha Eunseon) to promote the mental health of local youth.
The two organizations agreed to exchange professional knowledge, skills, and information for local youth, support the operation of major events and programs, and carry out cooperative projects for the growth and capacity development of young people.
The Gwangju City Youth Counseling and Welfare Center is a specialized youth counseling institution operated under Article 9 of the Youth Welfare Support Act. It provides integrated support services such as youth counseling, emergency rescue, and self-reliance support, helping the growth of local youth. With this agreement, the Department of Youth Counseling and Lifelong Education will contribute to the development of local public institutions, build a network for mutual growth between the university and the community, and expand opportunities for students to acquire practical skills required in the field.
A representative from the Department of Youth Counseling and Lifelong Education at Gwangju University stated, "We plan to continue working with youth-related institutions in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions to contribute to local development and foster field experts."
