"Innocence Commemoration"... Lee Jun-seok Reveals '250,000 Won Bill' Featuring Lee Jae-myung's Face

"ChatGPT Created It with Lee Jaemyung's Portrait"
Appears to Satirize the '250,000 Won Nationwide Livelihood Recovery Support Fund'

Lee Jun-seok, a member of the Reform New Party, announced that he created an image of a '250,000 won bill' to commemorate the acquittal in the appeal trial of Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, on charges related to the Public Official Election Act. This appears to be an indirect critique of Lee’s key pledge, the '250,000 won nationwide livelihood recovery support fund.'

On the 26th, Lee said on his YouTube live broadcast, "To celebrate Lee’s (election law) acquittal, I designed a 250,000 won bill," adding, "I input images of 1,000 won, 5,000 won, and 10,000 won bills and asked to create a 250,000 won bill with a portrait of Leader Lee Jae-myung, and it was well made." He revealed the bill design. Lee used ChatGPT to create the bill.

The bill image featured a smiling portrait of Lee along with the number 250000 printed on both lower sides of the bill. Lee said, "On the other side, it says 2,500,000 won and there are some errors in the Korean text. It seems to have trouble recognizing Korean well, but it makes it well," expressing surprise. He added, "I also made a photo of President Yoon Seok-youl drinking alone and a happy photo of Lee Jae-myung after being acquitted. (ChatGPT) makes them very well."

During the live broadcast, Lee predicted that the Supreme Court ruling on Lee Jae-myung would not proceed favorably for President Yoon Seok-youl and the People Power Party. Lee explained, "The Yoon Seok-youl-Han Dong-hoon team started a method of filing extensive indictments based on prosecution investigations and obtaining guilty verdicts in court to remove people," adding, "This method worked up to former leader Cho Kuk of the Cho Kuk Reform Party but did not work for Lee Jae-myung." He further speculated, "The reason is that Yoon Seok-youl and Han Dong-hoon troubled the judiciary, including former Chief Justice Yang Sung-tae. So, I guess the court is not favorable to Yoon and Han."

Meanwhile, in the past, Lee clearly opposed Lee Jae-myung’s key pledge of the '250,000 won nationwide livelihood recovery support fund.' In August last year, Lee said on a broadcast, "In a situation where everything except my salary seems to be rising, if nearly 13 trillion won is released into the market, inflation seems inevitable," and pointed out, "For a family of four, 1 million won might be a relief, but if prices rise, it ultimately loses effectiveness."
