Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 27th that it held a promotional campaign for children's traffic safety and the promotion of public transportation use at the intersection in front of Gyori Elementary School in Gijang-eup on the 26th.

This event was a joint promotional campaign organized by related agencies to promote compliance with traffic regulations and raise safety awareness. Over 40 participants, including Gijang County Governor Jung Jongbok, Gijang Police Station, and the Model Drivers Association, took part.
The event was held at an intersection with heavy vehicle traffic during school and work commuting hours, encouraging more citizens to pay attention to children's traffic safety and the use of public transportation.
On the day of the event, participants used banners and placards to promote pedestrian safety rules and the obligation for drivers to make a complete stop at crosswalks in school zones to students and citizens. They also promoted the Dongbaekjeon transportation fare reimbursement policy to encourage the use of public transportation.
Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang County, said, "I hope this campaign will help citizens recognize the importance of children's traffic safety," and added, "We will actively support the establishment of a mature traffic culture through the use of public transportation and the practice of traffic safety."
