Author Kim Young-ha's new essay collection, 'A Life Only Once,' topped the Yes24 comprehensive bestseller list for the fourth week of March immediately after its pre-sale. It received strong support from female readers in their 40s and 50s (55.7%). 'A Life Only Once' is a prose collection released six years after 'The Reason for Travel,' which was loved by 600,000 readers. It compiles and refines the writings serialized in 2024 through the email subscription service 'Youngha's Weather.' The book contains 14 stories that capture sincere family histories and deep reflections drawn from decisive moments in life.

Selected by Time magazine as the 'most influential figure in the field of artificial intelligence,' Lee Sun Molik's 'Dual Brain' ranked second. In third place was '100 Days of Transcription to Fill the Dignity of Adulthood,' written by mentor Kim Jong-won, who has 1.2 million readers. Han Kang's representative work 'The Boy is Coming,' depicting May in Gwangju, ranked fourth, and Yuval Harari's 'Nexus,' considered one of the most important thinkers of our time, took fifth place. 'Nexus,' published last October, gained renewed attention as the author Yuval Harari visited Korea for the first time in eight years. This week's sales surged 2.6 times (164.6%) compared to the previous week (March 13?19).

Yang Gui-ja's 'Contradiction,' published in 2013, ranked sixth, and 'Stoner,' a 2015 work chosen as a 'life book' in a short-form video featuring Hong Jin-kyung and Kim Young-chul, took 13th place. Additionally, the March new release 'Reading Skills Class That Creates a Huge Gap in Grades,' which compiles Daechi-dong reading education methods into one volume, ranked ninth, and 'Jibak Boy Hanako-kun 23 Triple Special Edition' placed 14th.

At Kyobo Bookstore, 'Dual Brain' ranked first. Purchases by male readers in their 50s accounted for the highest proportion at 18.2%.

Yang Gui-ja's 'Contradiction' took second place overall and first in the novel category. Jeong Dae-geon's 'Rapid Current' ranked sixth overall, and Han Kang's 'The Vegetarian' ranked seventh overall. Yuval Harari's 'Nexus' rose 23 places to 17th.
