Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province and Buyeo County in Chungnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 27th to promote agricultural and specialty products.

So far, the two organizations have built a continuous cooperative relationship through several preliminary consultations and meetings to display and sell Buyeo County's agricultural and specialty products at Gwangju City's Jayeonchae Food Farm Center.
In particular, through this MOU, they agreed to mutually cooperate to expand the product lineup at Gwangju City's Jayeonchae Food Farm Center, increase farmers' income, and revitalize the local economy.
According to the agreement, Gwangju City will be responsible for promoting and supporting the sales of Buyeo County's agricultural and specialty products, while Buyeo County will strive to supply fresh and safe agricultural and specialty products stably.
A Gwangju City official said, "Taking this MOU as an opportunity, we will gradually expand agreements to promote the use of local food in sister cities," adding, "We will do our best to supply fresh and safe local food agricultural and specialty products."
Meanwhile, since its official opening in July 2024, Gwangju City's Jayeonchae Food Farm Center has involved 418 shipping farms, 74 processing companies and affiliated food businesses, displaying and selling about 1,200 items including agricultural products and processed goods, maintaining an upward trend with cumulative sales of 1.8 billion won and 80,000 visitors.
