Seolmundae Women's Culture Center Hosts Special Lecture by Professor Kim Kyungil Seolundae Women's Culture Center will host a special lecture titled "Wisdom of the Mind: Communication and Happiness of Koreans" by Professor Kyungil Kim from the Department of Psychology at Ajou University on April 19 at 2 PM in the center's 4th floor performance hall.

The Seolmundae Women's Culture Center of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will host a special lecture titled "Wisdom of the Mind: Communication and Happiness of Koreans" at 2 p.m. on April 19 in the performance hall on the 4th floor of the center, featuring Professor Kim Kyungil from the Department of Psychology at Ajou University.


In this special lecture, Professor Kim Kyungil will deeply explore the causal relationships between motivation, communication, and persuasion, and share insights into the communication styles and pursuit of happiness among Koreans.


Professor Kim has appeared on numerous TV programs such as tvN's "Somehow Adult," CBS's "15 Minutes to Change the World," and KBS's "Morning Yard." Through various books, including "The Psychology of Wisdom," "Don't Lead, Let Them Follow," and "Perhaps What We've Been Doing Backwards," he has conveyed cognitive psychological insights to the public.


This happiness lecture is free of charge and open to all residents aged 8 and above. The lecture will last for 60 minutes starting at 2 p.m., and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 400 people (maximum of 2 tickets per person) through the Seolmundae Women's Culture Center website from 9 a.m. on April 1 to 6 p.m. on April 18. Meanwhile, the Seolmundae Women's Culture Center has designated the third Saturday of every month as "Seolmundae Culture Day," consistently hosting outstanding performances and special lectures by renowned speakers that can be enjoyed by various generations. Starting with Professor Kim Kyungil's special lecture, the center has prepared upcoming lectures by Professor Jung Heewon of Seoul Asan Medical Center in June, Professor Yoo Hongjun of Myongji University in August, and comedian Ko Myunghwan in October, aiming to satisfy the intellectual curiosity and cultural sensitivity of local residents.


An Kyungim, Director of the Seolmundae Women's Culture Center, said, "We planned this special lecture to provide residents with an easy and enjoyable opportunity to encounter the humanities in their daily lives," and added, "We ask for your interest and participation in this special lecture and future performances."
