The revision was pursued to update the standards in accordance with laws and administrative tasks that have been newly established or revised since 2020, and to include types of issues raised in the changed audit environment, thereby making the standards more realistic. The audit standards were updated to reflect laws and new administrative tasks enacted or revised since 2020. In particular, the standards for handling repeated or identical issues, intentional violations, and major administrative tasks have been significantly strengthened.

The main revisions include ▲strengthening audit standards for major administrative tasks and work discipline ▲establishing new standards for handling power harassment and workplace bullying ▲further subdividing the standards for disciplinary action, warnings, and cautions ▲expanding the scope of application for the Public Finance Recovery Act.

The Provincial Office of Education revised a total of 627 audit disposition standards, reflecting various cases from the educational field. Kindergarten-related tasks were added as a separate category, and the standards for handling major administrative areas such as budgeting and settlement, contracts and finance, school meals, and facility management were further specified.

Kim Jae-gi, the audit officer, stated, "Through this revision, we will enhance the fairness and effectiveness of the audit disposition standards and strengthen trust in the educational field," adding, "We will continue to improve the audit system for transparent and responsible educational administration."
