Ulsan Ulju-gun is accepting applications for the 'Ulju-gun Happy Sharing Urban Garden' rental program for city residents until the 31st.
This urban garden rental program is being promoted to create a happy and warm community culture by allowing participants to grow safe food themselves.
The available garden locations are in two areas: Ungchon-myeon Daebok-ri and Beomseo-eup Cheonsang-ri. The total area of the gardens is 3,755 square meters (Ungchon: 2,195㎡, Beomseo: 1,560㎡), with 100 plots available at each site.
The gardens will be established and managed by Siyuri Healing Farm (Ungchon) and Farmer's Attic (Beomseo), both selected through Ulju-gun's public contest project.
Any resident of Ulju-gun can apply. Each plot, including shared space, is 15㎡, and only one plot can be applied for per household. The rental fee is 40,000 KRW per plot.
The rented gardens can be cultivated freely from next month until November. Ulju-gun will provide support such as farming education for beginners, individual garden signs, agricultural supplies (compost), rest areas, toilets, and water supply facilities.
Applications can be submitted through the Ulju-gun website or directly at Ungchon Siyuri Healing Farm and Beomseo Farmer's Attic.
For more details, contact the Eco-friendly Agriculture Team at the Ulju-gun Agricultural Policy Division or the application centers.
An Ulju-gun official stated, "We hope that the comfortable urban gardens, where you can relax and unwind, will become happy communication spaces for families and neighbors," and added, "We ask for the interest and participation of city residents in applying for the Ulju-gun Happy Sharing Urban Garden rental program."
