Guri City Holds Festival Council Meeting to Successfully Host 'Guri Yuchae Flower Festival'

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 27th that it held the '1st Festival Council of 2025' on the 26th at the 3rd-floor situation room of City Hall to ensure the successful hosting of the '2025 Guri Canola Flower Festival.'

Presided over by Vice Chairman Jeong Hyun-gu, this council meeting was organized to check the festival preparation status of each department and share various opinions on improvements to successfully establish the Guri Canola Flower Festival as a representative spring festival of the metropolitan area.

Ahead of the festival scheduled from May 9 to 11 under the slogan "Canola in Full Bloom, Spring of Guri," the committee members reported on the progress of each department and held in-depth discussions on newly planned programs such as the ‘3-Day Market Stamp Tour’ aimed at revitalizing the local economy.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “Following the great success of last year’s Guri Cosmos Festival, which attracted about 400,000 visitors, we will actively reflect the diverse opinions of the Festival Council to make this year’s Canola Flower Festival a successful event that satisfies both citizens and visitors.”
