The Korean Red Cross (President Kim Cheol-su) announced on the 27th that Seulgi, a member of the girl group Red Velvet, who is active as a representative cultural artist of the Republic of Korea, donated 100 million won to disaster victims in areas affected by wildfires.


Seulgi stated, "I felt deep sorrow for the many disaster victims whose daily lives and livelihoods are threatened by the unexpected large wildfire," and added, "Although it is a small contribution, I decided to donate with the hope that it will be of help."


A representative of the Korean Red Cross said, "Seulgi's donation is a valuable act that goes beyond simple financial support, sharing public responsibility in a disaster situation," and added, "The donation will be transparently used for the affected disaster victims."
