Chai Communication announced on the 27th that it has launched ‘CHAIN,’ a generative artificial intelligence (AI) data collection and refinement platform. Marking this launch, Chai Communication plans to apply its proprietary dataset of approximately 21 billion records to the AI platform to enhance solutions for optimized marketing and performance prediction.
According to Chai Communication, the new AI data platform CHAIN embodies the meaning of a ‘link’ by integrating the value chain from data collection and preprocessing to AI training and application.
CHAIN is equipped with functions that collect big data related to marketing?such as text, images, and videos?from both online and offline sources and refine it into proprietary raw data formats. It gathers quantitative and qualitative data from multi-channels including portals like Google and Naver, as well as YouTube, Instagram, and social commerce platforms. Through this, it secures advanced AI training data based on extensive datasets.
The secured data undergoes a primary transformation into raw data, followed by additional refinement processes to preprocess and convert it for AI training. Text data is analyzed morphologically to extract keywords and can also determine positive or negative sentiment through Boolean operations. Videos and images are segmented by color, shapes, and other features not only for data utilization but also to enable AI training.
A representative from Chai Communication stated, “To maximize the utilization of our data assets, we proactively adopted generative AI technology, and with the launch of CHAIN, we have internalized the processes of AI training data collection and preprocessing.” He added, “We will advance the AI platform to create content tailored to customer needs.”
He further emphasized, “Applying AI technology will not only improve content quality but also maximize profitability through cost reduction. Since launching the AI platform last year, we have seen significant reductions in content production costs, and with AI advancement, production efficiency will greatly improve.”
Chai Communication has been accumulating data since launching the quantitative data collection platform ‘Cube’ in 2009, with a total collected dataset reaching approximately 21 billion records. Through the launch of CHAIN, Chai Communication plans not only to integrate existing data collection functions but also to enhance AI training data refinement technologies and expand AI technology applications.
