Hancom With, a subsidiary of Hancom Group, announced on the 27th that it has signed a business agreement with CATIS (CEO Seungsoo Kim), a spatial recognition security platform specialist, to jointly promote Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and AI-based facial recognition business.

Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to jointly develop strategic businesses combining physical security systems, user identification, and network security technologies, establishing a close cooperative framework.

Hancom With will apply CATIS’s security platform with post-quantum cryptography technology to protect sensitive data such as access records and user authentication information, and encrypt network communication channels to prevent data leakage and tampering.

The cryptographic modules provided by Hancom With will initially support the quantum-resistant cryptographic standard algorithms recommended by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), including ▲ML-KEM ▲ML-DSA ▲SLH-DSA, and later apply the Korean post-quantum cryptography (KpqC) algorithms developed by the National Intelligence Service, such as ▲HAETAE ▲SMAUG-T ▲AIMer ▲NTRU+. Through this, it is expected to further enhance security and reliability in preparation for future security threats posed by quantum computers and “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later (HNDL)” attacks.

Additionally, Hancom With signed a supply contract with CATIS for the AI-based facial recognition solution ‘Hancom Auth.’ Through this contract, CATIS’s access control system will be equipped with the facial recognition solution to offer products with enhanced security and convenience. In particular, ‘Hancom Auth’ features anti-spoofing technology certified with Level 2 of the U.S. iBeta Face Presentation Attack Detection test, providing high security.

Founded in 2006, CATIS develops spatial recognition security platforms for large critical facilities such as airports and data centers, providing industrial security solutions, perimeter defense security platforms (PIDS), and technical consulting services.

Song Sangyeop, CEO of Hancom With, said, “Demand for next-generation security technologies utilizing post-quantum cryptography and artificial intelligence is rapidly increasing. Based on Hancom With’s unique technological capabilities and cooperation, we will create new business opportunities and quickly introduce various products tailored to market demands.”
