The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) announced on the 27th that it has donated 100 million KRW in relief funds to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to support recovery efforts and aid for evacuees in areas recently declared special disaster zones due to large-scale wildfires.
The donated relief funds will be used for emergency relief, damage recovery, provision of daily necessities for evacuees, and securing housing safety in wildfire-affected areas such as Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.
Choi Un-yeol, President of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, said, “I sincerely offer my condolences to the evacuees affected by the recent large-scale wildfires in the Yeongnam region,” and added, “I hope that the relief funds donated with the collective heart and will of the accounting industry will help the affected communities quickly restore their daily lives.”
