Gyeonggi Fire Department Demonstrates 'Ultra-High Pressure Water Cannon Truck' for Rapid Response to Large Fires

The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters held a demonstration of the ultra-high-pressure water cannon truck at the Gyeonggi-do Special Response Unit on the 26th.

The ultra-high-pressure water cannon truck is the first in the nation to apply a rotary volumetric pump, enabling long-distance water spraying over 100 meters, and can spray 3,000 liters of water per minute at a maximum pressure of 25 bar. It is especially effective for responding to large-scale fires such as those in large logistics warehouses, high-rise buildings, and wildfires.

Additionally, the vehicle's size is comparable to a medium-sized pump, providing excellent mobility to respond quickly at various fire scenes.

At the demonstration, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters also inspected the explosion-proof high-performance chemical vehicle, which was deployed to Hwaseong Fire Station in December last year, in addition to the ultra-high-pressure water cannon truck.

The Fire and Disaster Headquarters expects that by deploying both vehicles simultaneously, they will be able to respond more quickly and efficiently to diverse and complex fire situations within the province.

Kim Jaebyeong, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "The introduction of the ultra-high-pressure water cannon truck will be an important turning point in effectively extinguishing fires at large-scale fire scenes," adding, "We will further strengthen the safety of residents based on the vehicle's excellent performance and usability."
