K-BPI Index Recognizes ZIC's 27-Year Streak at the Top
First Lubricant Brand in Korea's Refining Industry
SK Innovation's lubricants subsidiary, SK Enmove, has achieved first place in the engine oil sector for 27 consecutive years with its lubricant brand 'ZIC'.
On the 27th, SK Innovation announced that SK Enmove's ZIC ranked first in the '2025 Korea Industry Brand Power (K-BPI)'. The K-BPI, organized by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), is an index that has measured brand competitiveness of products and services in various domestic industries since 1999. ZIC has maintained the number one position in engine oil from the first year of the K-BPI announcement up to this year.
ZIC started in 1995 as the first lubricant brand in the domestic refining industry. ZIC products are based on SK Enmove's premium base oil 'YUBASE' and efficiently protect engines under various climates and driving conditions.
ZIC is expanding its scope in response to the changing mobility environment. In September 2023, it launched the electric vehicle-exclusive lubricant brand 'ZIC e-FLO'. ZIC e-FLO is currently sold to several electric vehicle manufacturers.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ZIC's launch this year, SK Enmove plans to hold customer events not only in Korea but also in various countries including China, the Philippines, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Seo Sang-hyuk, head of SK Enmove's e-Fluid Business Division, said, "ZIC, which has led the premiumization of the Korean engine oil market, has earned customers' trust through high quality and customer-friendly service," adding, "We will continue to expand our position in overseas markets beyond Korea with differentiated products."
