Balanced professional course offering both practical training and healing programs
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is operating the "1st Jungnang Care Master Course" to enhance the capabilities of local care workers and improve the quality of care services.
Launched on the 11th, this course is a program designed to improve the professionalism of care workers in line with the super-aged society and to increase job satisfaction and pride in the field. It will be held every Tuesday for a total of 8 sessions until April 29.
The training consists of a systematic theoretical education and practical training to help care workers respond to various situations they may encounter in elderly care settings. It includes practical job training such as ▲elderly-tailored communication skills ▲care for elderly with mobility difficulties ▲cognitive activity programs for dementia patients ▲elderly nutrition management, as well as healing programs like ▲making sock yarn tumbler bags ▲making useful microorganism (EM) household products, aiming not only to improve practical skills but also to promote emotional recovery.
At the third session held on the 25th, the healing program featured a "making sock yarn tumbler bag" experience, which received great response. Participants relieved their usual work stress by making bags with their own hands and spent time strengthening bonds with colleagues.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "As the role of care workers becomes increasingly important in a super-aged society, we have prepared this course to strengthen their professionalism and provide better care services to the local community." He added, "We will continue education and support for care workers so that our district can play a leading role in elderly welfare."
