[Weather] Cloudy with Rain Nationwide... Less than 5mm Expected in Gyeongbuk Region Yonhap News

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain will fall across most of the country until the afternoon, with rain continuing through the night in the Jeonnam region, Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island. In the Gyeongbuk region and inland Gyeongnam, there will be a lull between dawn and morning in some areas.

Expected precipitation amounts are 5?20 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the five West Sea islands; 5?10 mm in Gangwon Yeongseo, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (excluding western inland areas); less than 5 mm in Gangwon Yeongdong, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, western inland Gyeongnam, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo; and 5?30 mm in Jeju Island. The atmosphere will be very dry mainly in the eastern regions, and strong winds will blow across most areas nationwide.

Daytime temperatures will rise above 20 degrees Celsius mainly in the Gyeongsang region (above 25 degrees Celsius in some parts of Gyeongbuk), but after the rain, cold air will move southward from the northwest starting at night, making it somewhat chilly. Morning low temperatures are forecast to be between 7 and 17 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 14 and 25 degrees Celsius.

Fine dust levels are expected to be 'moderate' across all regions. However, in the afternoon, the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, and Chungcheong regions are forecast to temporarily reach 'very bad' levels.

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. In the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea and West Sea, and 1.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
