The final dialogue result report meeting was held on the 25th at the Misa 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center. This meeting, aimed at residents and petitioners of Misa 1 and 3-dong, explained the progress of proposals and suggestions such as ▲K-Star World promotion plan ▲Line 5 direct connection ▲Measures to prevent commercial outflow in Misa due to the opening of IKEA in Gangdong ▲Resolution of traffic issues at Hwangsan Intersection, and was conducted in a format of sharing opinions with citizens.
About 60 people attended the result report meeting, including Mayor Lee Hyun-jae, city senior officials, heads and members of related organizations in each dong, and petitioners.
Regarding residents’ concerns about the commercial outflow in Misa due to the entry of large-scale facilities such as IKEA in the Godeok Gangil district, Mayor Lee said, “To revitalize the commercial district, we need to develop Misa’s unique characteristics through various attractions such as planting cherry blossoms in Misa Lake Park and hosting busking events,” adding, “Although budget cuts have made it difficult to hold busking events, we will strive to proceed as originally planned. I hope you will also take an interest in these issues and think together.”
Regarding the development of the Hwangsan district and traffic issues, he said, “I deeply agree that Hwangsan, as the gateway to Hanam City, needs development, and there are structural traffic problems and matters requiring consultation with Gangdong-gu, so we have not yet found an answer,” adding, “Since the city recognizes these problems, we will work hard to resolve them well.”
On the relocation of the comprehensive stadium, he emphasized that it is not a matter to be decided and promoted unilaterally but will be decided after fully collecting citizens’ opinions. Regarding the request for ship operations such as cruises using the Han River during the K-Star World development, he responded that it is a good proposal but can only be resolved once the submerged weir issue is institutionally addressed.
Meanwhile, the result report meetings, which started on February 27 in Misa 2-dong, were prepared to share the progress of 226 proposals over five weeks with residents and to clarify how they are actually reflected in policies, thereby resolving any questions.
This result report meeting was well received for increasing trust in city administration by having city senior officials (directors, heads, chiefs, and directors) directly explain the progress of proposals in detail and exchange opinions.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae said, “The result report meeting shows the city’s commitment to responsible administration,” adding, “We will refer to the opinions received on proposals by dong and re-examine any shortcomings to actively work toward creating a livable city. If there is ever a need for explanation, please request it, and we will arrange a meeting.”
The city plans to continuously check and share the results of proposal handling and actively reflect opinions by sharing city administration with residents through on-site communication channels such as the Open Mayor’s Office and Mobile Mayor’s Office.
