On the same day, immediately after the second trial verdict of Lee Jae-myung, Lee Jun-seok stated on Facebook, "The judicialization of politics, where the major flow of politics is shaken by the judiciary's judgment, is not democracy."

He pointed out, "The repeated occurrence of conflicting judgments between lower and higher courts in criminal trials involving politicians also shows the instability of the judicial system," adding, "It raises concerns about the politicization of the judiciary."

He continued, "I hope that today will be an opportunity to prevent the misunderstanding that prosecutorial politics, which seeks to eliminate political opponents through investigations, is equivalent to conservative politics," emphasizing, "Only new conservative politics that develop capabilities through policies and philosophy is the true alternative demanded by this era."

The Seoul High Court Criminal Division 6-2 (Presiding Judges Choi Eun-jung, Lee Ye-seul, and Jung Jae-oh) overturned the original verdict that sentenced Lee Jae-myung, who was indicted for violating the Public Official Election Act, to one year in prison with two years of probation, and acquitted him on the afternoon of the same day.
