[Breaking] Wildfire Occurs in Paju, Gyeonggi... Helicopters Deployed for Suppression

At around 2:25 PM on the 26th, a fire broke out on a mountain in Jori-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi Province, and authorities are currently extinguishing it.

The fire department and the Korea Forest Service have deployed helicopters and other equipment to the site to combat the fire.

At around 3:42 PM on the same day, Paju City Hall sent a safety alert message to residents stating, "A wildfire occurred at San 9, Jori-eup, Paju-si at around 2:27 PM today," and urged "those visiting ancestral graves or hikers to be cautious of safety accidents."

Authorities plan to investigate the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage once the fire is completely extinguished.
