[2025 Asset Disclosure] Han Deok-su Acting Prime Minister 8.7 Billion KRW... Increased by 390 Million KRW in One Year

Han Duck-soo, Acting President and Prime Minister, reported assets worth approximately 8.7 billion KRW. His assets increased by nearly 400 million KRW in one year due to increased labor and financial income.


According to the '2025 Regular Asset Changes of Public Officials' published in the official gazette by the Government Ethics Committee on the 27th, Acting President Han reported assets worth about 8.704 billion KRW.

Acting President Han owns a detached house in Jongno-gu, Seoul under his name (2.46 billion KRW) and forest land in Namdong-gu, Incheon under his spouse's name (69.8 million KRW).


The largest portion of the reported assets was deposits, totaling approximately 5.8962 billion KRW. Deposits under his name amounted to 3.3157 billion KRW, and under his spouse's name, 2.2109 billion KRW.


Due to increases in labor and financial income, deposits increased by about 370 million KRW compared to the previous year.


Additionally, Acting President Han reported 265.8 million KRW in condominium, golf, and health club memberships under his name, and golf memberships under his spouse's name.


Acting President Han's assets increased by 389.25 million KRW over one year. Although real estate values slightly decreased due to economic slowdown, the increase in deposits and membership values contributed to the overall rise.


Acting President Han's duties were suspended for 87 days from December 27 last year to March 24 this year due to impeachment proceedings by opposition parties including the Democratic Party, but he continued to receive his salary during this period. According to the Ministry of Personnel Management, his annual salary this year is 203.56 million KRW, with a monthly pre-tax salary of 16.96 million KRW.

Bang Ki-seon, Director of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, reported assets worth 5.1486 billion KRW, an increase of 67.14 million KRW compared to the previous year.


Real estate alone, including an apartment in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul under his name (1.574 billion KRW) and a neighborhood living facility in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu under his spouse's name (2.638 billion KRW), amounted to 4.335 billion KRW.


He also holds deposits of 2.7065 billion KRW and bonds worth 1.2386 billion KRW under his and his spouse's and children's names, as well as a health club membership worth 4 million KRW.


His mother, who maintains an independent livelihood, refused to disclose her assets.


Kim Jong-moon, First Deputy Prime Minister, reported assets totaling 1.565 billion KRW, including real estate such as apartments and commercial buildings under his and his spouse's names worth 1.289 billion KRW, deposits of 274.44 million KRW, listed and unlisted stocks worth 10.39 million KRW, and virtual assets worth 11.41 million KRW. This is an increase of 44.17 million KRW compared to the previous year.


Nam Hyung-gi, Second Deputy Prime Minister, owns real estate worth 682.17 million KRW, including an apartment in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and a leasehold right in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, as well as deposits of 475.11 million KRW, totaling 1.035 billion KRW in assets. This is an increase of 81.58 million KRW compared to the previous year.


According to Article 6 of the Public Officials Ethics Act, those obligated to register assets must report changes in assets from January 1 to December 31 by the end of February the following year. The average declared assets of the 2,047 individuals subject to this disclosure were 2.063 billion KRW, an increase of about 62.01 million KRW compared to the previous year.
