BankSalad's free 'genetic testing' can now be applied for in teams of up to 5 members. If just one team member succeeds in applying, all team members will receive the free test.

On the 26th, BankSalad announced that it has expanded its service to allow first-come, first-served free genetic test applications for teams of up to 5 people.

Teams for genetic testing can be composed of 2 to 5 members. All team members can attempt to apply for the genetic test at 10 a.m. If even one member succeeds, all team members will receive a free test voucher.

Users can form teams by sharing links via KakaoTalk, text messages, or social networking services (SNS). Instead of real names, users can set preferred nicknames, allowing for anonymous participation.

If it is difficult to find individual participants, users can join teams randomly or accept new team members. All team members can set the team’s visibility to public or private. If public is selected, team members can be randomly added to fill the maximum number of members.

The genetic test sold by BankSalad provides information on 63 genetic traits related to skin and hair, nutrients, exercise, eating habits, and health management. Since its launch in October 2021, free applications have closed every 0.1 seconds daily. It has been especially popular among customers in their 20s and 30s.

The test offers analyses related to parents’ and family health, such as susceptibility to hair loss, gray hair, degenerative arthritis, skin aging, blood pressure, blood sugar, and bone mass. It also provides recommendations for suitable sleep habits and information on dependencies such as alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine.

BankSalad offers a 'Genetic Chemistry' service where users who have taken the genetic test can compare their results with others. The more matching genetic elements such as biological rhythms and taste preferences, the more users can see compatibility results described as twin-level, big bang, perfect match, lukewarm, or chaotic.
