In addition, with the increasing number of foreign residents in the Jeonbuk region, the group is operated to break down language barriers during disasters and to support prompt rescue and emergency activities. This event focused not only on communication but also on substantially strengthening the fire safety capabilities of the interpreter volunteers.
Participants experienced ▲crisis escape drills ▲fire and first aid training ▲instructions on how to report to 119 and respond to various situations. They also held a discussion session to enhance communication, where they discussed customized response measures for multicultural families and foreign workers, preparing to ensure that interpretation support can be provided quickly and effectively in the event of an actual disaster.
Chief Lee Osook of the Fire Department said, "Prompt communication at disaster sites is directly related to saving lives," and added, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that the interpreter volunteer group can perform even more professional roles through this training."
