A former professor A from Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary (Jangsin University), who sparked controversy by posting on social media (SNS) "Wishing success to the assassination plan" following assassination rumors against Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, has been reported to the police. The Christian Restoration Center of Peace Tree (Director Kim Dimode) announced on the 25th, "We have submitted a complaint to the National Police Agency against Mr. A on charges of inciting rebellion and instigating or aiding murder."

On the 7th, Mr. A posted on his Facebook, "President Yoon Seok-yeol, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, must immediately declare a second martial law," and on the 12th, he wrote, "Wishing success to the assassination plan. Lee Jae-myung, a five-time offender, inciting rebellion, destroying the rule of law, disrupting national order, legislative dictatorship, execute him."

Mr. A reportedly continued to make extreme remarks mentioning former President Moon Jae-in, former Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik, former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon, People Power Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo, and Reform New Party lawmaker Lee Jun-seok. He also participated in a prayer at a declaration against President Yoon’s impeachment held at Jangsin University. At this event, he claimed, "Looking at the words after President Yoon’s detention was canceled, it was to protect the freedom and rule of law of the Republic of Korea," and added, "The rule of law in Korea has collapsed. From the Constitutional Court to the judges, illegal acts are being committed."

The Christian Restoration Center pointed out, "Mr. A’s posts do not merely justify the legitimacy of President Yoon’s declaration of martial law but imply incitement to rebellion by suggesting the military should be mobilized as in the previous martial law declaration," and added, "It could be seen as instructing those who do not support Lee Jae-myung to kill him or aiding those preparing to assassinate him in their criminal acts."

Previously, the Christian Restoration Center operated the ‘Korean Church Rebellion Incitement and Propaganda Monitoring Center’ after the December 3 martial law and reported three pastors, including Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church, and church officials on charges of inciting rebellion.
