Ulsan City Holds Industrial Accident Prevention Resolution Rally This Year

13 Organizations and Companies Including Ministry of Employment and Labor to Participate on the 26th
Reading of Industrial Safety Pledge and Special Lecture on Industrial Safety Management

On the afternoon of the 26th at 3:40 PM, Ulsan City will jointly host the '2025 Industrial Safety Accident Prevention Commitment Ceremony' with 13 organizations and companies from the National Industrial Complex, including the Ulsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, at the 3rd floor Convention Hall of the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center (UECO).


Approximately 300 people, including Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs Ahn Seungdae, representatives from related organizations and companies, and workers, will attend the event.


This commitment ceremony, under the theme 'Model City for Industrial Safety, Yes! As Expected! Ulsan!', will feature the reading of a pledge for industrial accident prevention and the practice of a safety culture, as well as the chanting of safety slogans.


In the second part of the event, Lee Jaewook, chief judge of the Ulsan District Court's department specializing in major and industrial accidents, will deliver a special lecture titled 'Industrial Safety Management as Seen Through Ulsan District Court Rulings.'


The lecture will focus on cases of violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, emphasizing the importance of industrial safety management.


Side events will include: △ Industrial safety virtual reality (VR) experience (Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency) △ Screening of outstanding industrial safety case videos (Ministry of Employment and Labor) △ Information on major industrial accident prevention projects (Ulsan City Safety Policy Division), providing various safety information and hands-on opportunities that can be utilized at industrial sites.


An official from Ulsan City stated, "Unlike previous years, this year's event emphasizes responsibility for safety not only among company workers but also managers, which has further enhanced the scale and stature of the ceremony. We hope this commitment ceremony will go beyond a mere formal event to become a meaningful platform for the practical implementation of industrial safety, and we expect it will contribute to spreading a culture of accident prevention and reducing workplace accidents."
