A wildfire that started in Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, has spread to Pungcheon-myeon, Andong, threatening the Hahoe Village, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Forestry authorities report that the straight-line distance between the wildfire and Hahoe Village is only 10 km.

On the 25th at 3:31 PM, Andong City issued an evacuation order to residents via disaster text message, stating that "the Uiseong wildfire is spreading to Pungcheon-myeon."
Pungcheon-myeon is adjacent to Pungsan-myeon, where Hahoe Village and Byeongsan Seowon are located.
According to the Korea Forest Service, as of 3 PM that day, the containment rate of the Uiseong and Andong wildfires was 62%.
The remaining fire line is estimated to be 93 km out of a total of 245 km. On-site, southwest winds of 5 to 10 m/s are expected from 3 PM to 6 PM.
