Gokseong County Holds Appointment Ceremony for 8th Civil Administration Policy Advisory Committee

30 Civilian Experts Appointed to Five Subcommittees Including Health and Welfare

Gokseong County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae), announced on the 25th that it newly formed the 8th Civil Policy Advisory Committee and held an appointment ceremony at the County Office's Communication Maru on the 24th.

The newly reorganized Policy Advisory Committee consists of 30 civilian experts appointed to five subcommittees: policy development, health and welfare, agriculture, culture and tourism, and industrial economy. They will provide advice on the county's major policies, initiatives, and pending projects.

About 30 people attended the appointment ceremony, including Governor Cho Sangrae, the deputy governor, the planning director, and members of the Policy Advisory Committee. Governor Cho presented appointment letters to the committee members, explained the county's administrative direction and the committee's operation plan for this year, and then held a discussion with the attendees.

Son Hyekyung, a professor at Jeonnam Science College, was appointed as chairperson of the Policy Advisory Committee. Chairperson Son emphasized, "I will spare no effort in providing professional advice and counsel so that the Policy Advisory Committee can become a partner for the county's development and the happiness of its residents."

Governor Cho stated, "The experience and expertise of the advisory committee members are more important than ever to overcome the crisis of regional extinction and achieve sustainable development," and added, "I look forward to your significant contributions to the development of county administration through active communication and cooperation."

Meanwhile, Gokseong County plans to support effective committee activities by operating various communication channels, such as holding subcommittee meetings as needed and providing individual consulting, to enhance the effectiveness of the committee.
