Pocheon-si Prohibits Recruiting Tenants for Long-Term General Private Rental Housing Without Supply Notification

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) has urged citizens to exercise special caution, stating that recruiting tenants without the supply notification procedure related to long-term general private rental housing is clearly illegal.

According to Pocheon City on the 25th, the "Pocheon ○○○ Apartment" currently recruiting tenants in the Sin-eup-dong area has not yet submitted a supply notification for long-term general private rental housing.


Tenant recruitment is only possible if the supply notification is completed with the Housing Division of Pocheon City Hall, the competent administrative agency, in accordance with Article 42, Paragraph 4 of the Special Act on Private Rental Housing, Article 33-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, and Article 14-12 of the Enforcement Rules.


A Pocheon City official stated, “If you sign a contract for a private rental apartment without a supply notification, tenants may find it difficult to receive legal protection. Careful judgment from citizens is required,” and emphasized, “Please be sure to check the supply notification status through the Housing Division of Pocheon City Hall before signing a contract.”


Meanwhile, inquiries about the supply notification status of long-term general private rental housing or other matters can be confirmed through the Housing Division of Pocheon City Hall.
