The Korea Railroad Corporation Jeonnam Headquarters Volunteer Group announced on the 25th that it had carried out the "Hope Meal Truck" support project, a free meal sharing activity for socially disadvantaged groups.

The event, held at the Suncheon Medical Center plaza, provided warm meals to 200 people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Members of the Korea Railroad Jeonnam Headquarters Volunteer Group and Suncheon City volunteers participated in various activities such as preparing meals, packing lunch boxes, and serving food.

The Hope Meal Truck project was jointly planned with the Suncheon Volunteer Center as part of labor-management ESG management practices, aiming to solve local issues. Since 2021, it has been a regular social contribution activity that serves warm lunches filled with care to at-risk groups near railroads, such as elderly people living alone.

Kim Jintae, head of the Korea Railroad Jeonnam Headquarters, said, "Through the Hope Meal Truck, we will continue our efforts to deliver warmth to neighbors in need and to spread a culture of sharing throughout our society."
