Promotes Traditional Korean Music and Cultural Exchange

Gu Ja-yeol, Chairman of the LS Board of Directors (Chairman of the Seoul Arts Center), participated in the support challenge wishing for the successful hosting of the '2025 Yeongdong World Gugak Expo,' LS Group announced on the 25th.

This challenge is a relay-style campaign initiated by Yeongdong County, Chungcheongbuk-do, the host, to pray for the success of the world's first Gugak Expo.

Chairman Gu said, "The purpose of the campaign to widely promote the beauty of our traditional Korean music to the world and to foster cultural exchange aligns with LS's philosophy of supporting culture and the arts, so I participated with great pleasure," adding, "All LS employees and executives wish for the successful hosting of the Gugak Expo, and furthermore, LS plans to continue supporting the expansion of global cultural exchange opportunities."

Chairman Gu, who has always shown deep affection for culture and the arts, was recently appointed as the new chairman of the Seoul Arts Center. Since 2022, he has served as the organizing chairman of the Korea International Art Fair (KIAF), the largest art fair in Korea. Additionally, as chairman of the Songgang Foundation, he continues various social contribution projects supporting promising talents in culture, arts, and sports, while also serving as the editor-in-chief of the humanities quarterly magazine 'Bobodam,' which he has published for 15 years.

Meanwhile, Chairman Gu joined this challenge upon the nomination of Yoon Young-dal, Chairman of Crown Haitai Confectionery & Foods, and designated Moon Kyu-young, Chairman of the Ajou Group, as the next participant.
