On the 25th, the Korea Exchange held the '2024 Excellent Compliance Awards Ceremony' and announced that it selected and awarded 2 corporations and 12 individuals who contributed to establishing a fair trade order and spreading a culture of compliance.
In the corporate category, evaluation criteria included internal control activities such as compliance monitoring systems of member companies, adherence to exchange regulations, and prevention of unfair trading. The Grand Prize was awarded to Samsung Securities,
and the Model Case Award went to IBK Investment & Securities.
Additionally, 12 compliance officers who led efforts to maintain a fair trade order through proactive unfair trading monitoring activities and regular inspections to strengthen internal controls were awarded. These recipients came from Nomura Financial Investment, Samsung Securities (2), IBK Investment & Securities (2), SK Securities, DB Financial Investment, Mirae Asset Securities, Kyobo Securities, Cape Investment & Securities, Heungkuk Securities, and Cr?dit Agricole Asia Securities Seoul Branch.
Kim Geun-ik, Chairman of the Market Surveillance Committee, emphasized the growing importance of compliance monitoring organizations in building fairness and trust in the capital market, stating that the Korea Exchange will continue to work together with member companies to create a capital market trusted by investors.
