Equipped with Integrated Taxi Terminal
Enhanced Vehicle Management and Maintenance Convenience
Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 25th that it has launched the mid-size taxi '2025 Sonata Taxi' and has begun full-scale sales.
The 2025 Sonata Taxi features the installation of a 'taxi integrated terminal' reflecting consumer feedback and improvements in vehicle management and maintenance convenience.
Hyundai provides the 2025 Sonata Taxi with a 'taxi integrated terminal' that allows the use of previously separate devices such as ▲Kakao T Taxi driver app ▲TMAP navigation ▲application-type taxi meter ▲drive recorder through a 12.3-inch in-vehicle display.
In particular, the button on the steering wheel is linked with the dispatch service of the 'Kakao T Taxi driver app' so that when a call card is accepted, navigation guidance is automatically provided via Kakao Navi. TMAP navigation, which is highly preferred by taxi customers, is applied as the vehicle's default navigation system.
Additionally, the application-type taxi meter is equipped with precise fare calculation functions using GPS and wheel rotations, as well as automatic setting functions for dynamic fare systems such as surcharges and out-of-town fares.
Furthermore, Hyundai introduces 'Hyundai TV Plus,' an ad-supported free streaming TV, for the first time in the Sonata Taxi. Hyundai TV Plus offers free access to real-time news channels and various content, allowing taxi drivers to enjoy diverse media during rest periods.
Hyundai has applied ▲protection car mats and carpets with excellent stain and water resistance ▲maintenance holes for engine oil and filter replacement ▲hybrid-type wipers to the 2025 Sonata Taxi to reduce vehicle maintenance and repair burdens.
In particular, a Hyundai official explained that the new PVC material carpets have superior stain prevention effects compared to the existing nonwoven fabric carpets.
The maintenance hole for engine oil replacement is designed so that the cover hole can be removed easily without taking out the entire cover, allowing simple replacement of engine oil or filters. Together with the partially replaceable hybrid-type wipers, this enhances maintenance convenience and helps reduce maintenance costs.
The sales price of the 2025 Sonata Taxi starts from 25.95 million KRW and is sold exclusively to platform transportation operators or commercial taxi operators.
