On the 24th, the China Panda Protection Research Center posted on its official Weibo (China's version of X) account, "Tomorrow (the 25th), Fubao will meet you all. Looking forward to it," along with a video of Fubao lasting about one minute. The video showed Fubao eating food and playing with a ball in a healthy state.
The center announced in a format as if Fubao was speaking to viewers, "I want to share some news with you first. After resting and stabilizing for about 100 days, I will be at Nursery No. 2 tomorrow (the 25th) to meet you."
This is the first time Fubao has been revealed to the public since being isolated on December 3rd last year due to abnormal signs, about four months ago. The center stated regarding the situation at that time, "After abnormal trembling appeared, Fubao was kept in a non-exhibition area and received devoted care from veterinarians and keepers."
The center added, "(The medical team) conducted thorough examinations and provided customized treatment, special care during estrus, and joint diagnosis by experts," and said, "Fubao's body feels much better." They also mentioned that for this public reveal, the center sterilized and disinfected Fubao's living quarters and added plants and other improvements.

Fubao is a giant panda born in July 2020 to Aibao (female) and Lubao (male), and attracted great attention as the first panda born in Korea. After living at Everland in Yongin, Fubao was affectionately called 'Yongin Pussi,' 'Princess Poo,' and 'Poo Ttuntun,' gaining popularity, but was returned to China on April 3rd last year.
The Chinese government leases pandas to foreign countries and charges rent to the lessee countries. The principle is that baby pandas born abroad are returned to China when they turn four years old.
However, after settling at the new base in China, Fubao was repeatedly caught up in rumors of health problems, causing controversy. In December last year, videos circulated on various online communities showing Fubao trembling and seemingly having convulsions while eating bamboo shoots.
In response, on December 3rd of the same year, the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve in Sichuan Province, where Fubao resides, announced via Weibo that "Fubao showed abnormal signs and is under close observation." However, the sudden closure of the base was revealed later, sparking controversy again. Some fans suspected that the closure was due to Fubao's health issues, but the base explained that it was for safety reasons due to road construction and other works at the base.
