Fostering Resident Welfare Leaders
Education to Be Held Sequentially at Four Regional Social Welfare Centers Starting from the 24th
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) officially launched the Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet Academy, an educational platform of the customized welfare brand ‘Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet,’ on the 19th, marking the beginning of training welfare leaders among residents. The education, held over four sessions until the 20th, included explanations on ▲Jungnang-style community spirit ▲the development process and purpose of Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet ▲and its future vision.
‘Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet’ is a customized welfare brand of Jungnang-gu designed to create a welfare community where residents voluntarily participate to help and share with each other, under the goal of ‘400,000 residents helping 400,000 residents.’ Since its official proclamation ceremony in November last year, it has been operating various resident-participatory welfare projects in five major areas?▲donations ▲network formation ▲talent sharing ▲health ▲education?based on an online and offline integrated platform.
The newly launched ‘Jungnang Donghaeng Academy’ is an educational program designed to enable residents to acquire welfare knowledge and community leadership to independently solve various local issues. A total of 145 residents participated in the education, sharing diverse cases of volunteer activities they experienced and strengthening their commitment to realizing the community.
Starting from the 24th, education sessions will be held sequentially at four comprehensive social welfare centers in the region, where participants can directly experience and engage in the Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet projects. The program is structured to help trainees better understand welfare projects in their own neighborhoods and encourage practical participation.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “The Jungnang Donghaeng Academy is a valuable educational venue that cultivates residents’ welfare capabilities and community leadership,” adding, “We will continue to unite public and private sectors to ensure that Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet establishes itself as a practice-oriented, participation-centered welfare model.”
