The Seocho District Council (Chairperson Go Seonjae) held an appointment ceremony for the 2024 fiscal year settlement inspection committee members in the 1st Committee Room on the 24th and began full-scale activities.
The appointed settlement inspection committee consists of a total of six members, with Councilor Park Mijeong serving as the representative member, along with Councilor Lee Hyeongjun and four external experts including accountants and tax accountants.
The settlement inspection will be conducted over 30 days starting from this day, involving a comprehensive review of the 2024 fiscal year revenue and expenditure settlement as well as the overall financial management of Seocho District. Based on the inspection results, issues and improvement points will be identified, and an inspection opinion report will be prepared and submitted to the executing agency.
Chairperson Go Seonjae stated, “Settlement inspection is not simply an evaluation of the past but an important process to ensure that the budget can be operated more effectively,” adding, “I hope this settlement inspection will serve as a starting point to enhance more rational and efficient financial management as well as increase trust in Seocho District administration.”
Representative member Park Mijeong said, “I am grateful to take on a responsible role as a committee member,” and added, “I will carefully examine whether the residents’ taxes have been used efficiently without waste.” She continued, “Together with the committee members, I will thoroughly check whether the budget was executed lawfully and fairly, and do my best to provide practical help for next year’s budget formulation and financial management.”
Through this settlement inspection, the Seocho District Council plans to reduce budget waste factors and faithfully perform the council’s oversight and monitoring functions to ensure that residents’ taxes are used more rationally and effectively.
