Scholarship, Tuition, and Academic Support Provided for Fostering Next-Generation Leaders
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sanghoon) announced on the 24th that Lee Jaeyong, a third-year student in the Department of Ocean Engineering, has been finally selected as a 55th class scholar for the 2025 Korea Foundation for Leaders Scholarship.

The Korea Foundation for Leaders Scholarship selects and supports scholars every year to foster next-generation leaders who can present visions that resonate with the community and dedicate themselves to the nation and people in various fields.
This year, a total of 91 students, including Lee Jaeyong, were selected as the 55th class scholars through document and interview screening among candidates recommended by universities nationwide.
As a result of being selected, Lee Jaeyong will receive full tuition coverage and a 1,000,000 KRW academic support grant each semester from this semester until graduation, helping him to further develop his leadership skills.
Since entering the Department of Ocean Engineering at Pukyong National University, Lee Jaeyong has been recognized for his outstanding academic achievements, being selected as a scholarship recipient every semester, as well as for his activities such as being a member of the first class of Samsung Heavy Industries University Student Supporters in 2024, serving as a mentor for KB Kookmin Bank's KB Law School, winning the top prize in a university club, and being selected as a distinguished student who brought honor to the school.

With this scholarship selection as an opportunity, I will devote myself even more to research and studies to become a scholar in the field of engineering and strive to grow into a leader who contributes to society."
