Expansion of Support from Age 75 to 80
200,000 KRW Voucher Card Provided Per Person
Naju City in Jeollanam-do has decided to expand the age range for the "Happiness Voucher" program, which aims to improve the quality of life and support cultural and leisure activities for female farmers, from the previous limit of 75 years old to 80 years old. This decision has been met with enthusiastic support from the agricultural community.
Naju City announced on the 24th that it has provided Happiness Vouchers worth 200,000 KRW per person to approximately 5,300 female farmers aged 20 to 75.
Starting this year, female farmers aged 76 to 80 who are newly eligible due to the expanded age range will receive their vouchers around April. The Happiness Voucher is provided in the form of points that can be used like cash on a Nonghyup Chaeum Card. The points are automatically deducted when the card is used.
The voucher can be used until December 31 in various cultural and leisure sectors such as restaurants, beauty salons, bookstores, and movie theaters. However, it cannot be used for medical, entertainment, gambling businesses, or for airline and railway fares.
Along with the Happiness Voucher, Naju City is also accepting applications for special health checkups to support the health of female farmers who balance housework and labor. This year, the eligible recipients are female farmers aged 51 to 70 who were born in odd-numbered years, and applications can be submitted at the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Centers starting April 1.
The health checkups will be conducted at Bitgaram General Hospital starting May 1, and on-site registration is also available.
