Support Including 300 Million KRW Donation and Special Loans
BNK Kyongnam Bank announced on the 24th that it will provide an emergency support program for the restoration of wildfire damage in the Kyongnam and Ulsan regions.
BNK Kyongnam Bank, together with other subsidiaries of the BNK Financial Group, will implement an emergency support program that includes a donation of 300 million KRW and special mid- and short-term financial support to ensure that fire damage is quickly restored and affected residents can return to their daily lives.
First, the bank will provide up to 20 million KRW in emergency living stabilization funds per individual, as well as deferment of loan principal repayment and loan maturity extensions. For affected farms and small business owners, special loans of up to 500 million KRW will be offered to support recovery efforts.
In addition, relief supplies such as daily necessity kits and medical supplies will be provided for affected residents, and a mobile financial service vehicle will be deployed to assist with financial services such as cash withdrawals and card reissuance.
BNK Kyongnam Bank also plans to provide mid- to long-term support in line with the progress of recovery, including educational support for elementary, middle, and high schools in the affected areas, wildfire prevention and environmental restoration assistance, and campaigns to promote consumption of local products.
A BNK Kyongnam Bank official stated, "We would like to express our deepest condolences to the local residents affected by this wildfire, and we will actively support the swift restoration of daily life. BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to work together with the local community based on warm-hearted finance."
Meanwhile, immediately after the wildfire broke out on the 22nd, BNK Kyongnam Bank dispatched an emergency volunteer team to the Korea Seonbi Culture Research Institute in Sicheon-myeon, Sancheong-gun, where affected residents had evacuated, to deliver relief supplies and support on-site operations.
