Bithumb Deposits and Withdrawals Now Only Available Through KB Kookmin Bank Starting Today

KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 24th that it has launched the 'Real-Name Verified Deposit and Withdrawal Account Service' for customers using the virtual asset operator Bithumb.

A real-name account is an account that allows financial transactions only between the virtual asset operator's account opened at the same financial institution and the customer's account of the virtual asset operator. Partner banks providing the 'Real-Name Verified Deposit and Withdrawal Account Service' act as a bridge connecting the exchange and users.

With the launch of this service, Bithumb users can only conduct KRW deposit and withdrawal transactions through their Kookmin Bank accounts.

To assist Bithumb customers with easy account opening, Kookmin Bank established a separate route that links from the Bithumb application (app) to KB Star Banking to create accounts, and set up a dedicated Kookmin Bank account opening counter at the Bithumb Lounge Gangnam branch.

A Kookmin Bank official stated, "In launching this service, Kookmin Bank prioritized building a stable service environment," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide the best financial experience to our customers."
